George,I am impressed with your patience, really impressed. I
have a fairly decent position 14,200 shares which I have held
since june of '96. In holding a stock like MGR over a long period, one must consider opportunities lost.
For example I purchased Gitennes at 1.00 in June of '96 and it
closed today at, 6.95. I purchased Conquistador recently at 4.65
and it closed today at 5.80 (and is expected to go much higher.
Hope springs eternal and maybe MGR will also, however had you sold
your position, taken your loss and reinvested in something else
might you not be further ahead? Had I sold my MGR at .55 (purchased
at 1.30) and purchased more Gitennes I would have been about $15,000
ahead. After saying all this i'll still hang onto my good old MGR
awhile longer and hope.
One other problem I see is that there are so many people with so
much stock that when it does move into that dollar plus range people
will be bailing like rats off a sinking ship. Ah yes buying opportunity.
