We keep going back to analog technology anyway as some of the greatest means of enabling all of these wonderful things. Your predictions will in large part come true because of advances in fiber optic technology, for example, specifically, DWDM and other forms of optical wavelength manipulation or transformation. Would you consider DWDM an analog or a digital technology?
