Ed, with regard to future spin offs by MSFT, let's looks at GE. Compared to GE, everything MSFT does is much more inter-related. GE does everything from light bulbs to turbine engines as well as financial services. Why would a company like that choose to keep all of those services and products under the same roof and MSFT with its divisions much more closely related choose to spin off certain areas??
