you are not talking about the Old Testament God, you are talking about the
God whose Son was born on Earth and told us to love each other. That's just a point of
fact.

If Sidney is Christian, then the God of the old testament is his God who became flesh in the NT

And alll that Christ said came from God. He said that He came not to destroy the law (10 Commandments) but to fulfill them. He also said He changes not one iota of the law (10 commandments). His telling us to love one another was Exactly what God told us to do some 4,000 years earlier.

Cobalt! They are one and the same. If you were a Christian I would think that you knew this also.

Jesus summed up the 10 commandments set down by God in the OT, in two sentence.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
This relates to the first 5 commandments

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
And this to the last 5.

Remenber also:
The NT tells us,
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Have a good day
