Some new news:
<<2056 GMT, 990411 – Neritan Ceka, Albania's former Interior Minister and now Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Public Order and National Security of Albania, told the Iranian news agency IRNA that more Kosovar Albanians are taking up arms and the KLA is now on the offensive. Ceka said that more Kosovar Albanians were certain to join the fight, and that NATO would not need to send in ground troops to liberate Kosovo. However, Ceka did argue that Kosovo could not remain part of Serbia – that it should first be made a UN protectorate guarded by NATO troops. "The future will be that Kosovo will become an independent state," he added. He ruled out Kosovo joining Albania, since Western powers do not want to create a new map of the Balkans.>>
<<2117 GMT, 990411 – Yugoslav sources claim that a group of nearly 500 mujahedeen, allegedly led by Saudi terrorist Osama Bin Laden, has been spotted near the towns of Korca and Podgrade in northern Albania.>>
