AJ,

Whoa?! I reread my post and I think people must be reading more into it than I intended. At first blush it looks to me as if you bought in to a good company as a long term investor but are looking to sell using short term trading techniques (price/volume action). Of course there is no way for me to know for sure and that is why I asked the questions. They weren't rhetorical and no insult was intended. I'm really curious as to why a long term investor would sell now as opposed to the fall of '98.

Unfortunately I used that horrible label that I came up with to describe certain types of investors. Poor taste on my part and for that I apologize. I would have been better served by describing my opinion as above.

I think Harry caught the jist of what I was trying to get at. I have seen "the pattern" several times over the last few month and am also tempted to sell into this current pop. I must keep reminding myself that I bought into this company as a long term investment. For my investing to make any sense, the reason why I bought must somehow correlate with the reason for selling. Forgive me if I have somehow mischaracterized your trading style.

FYI, I'm not a boy, don't do chill pills, and am in the firm belief that first time posters to this thread have just as much right to post here as anyone...as for checking my attitude...we all know I'm hopeless there. :-)

Pat
