SS - I respect your arguments - but I think they are a little sophisticated - sure there have been problems all around, but the Kosovars had autonomy which M'vitch revoked and he has been the mastermind behind not only the displacement of many hundreds of thousands but the deaths of hundreds of thousands too - so if there is a balance sheet of crime there his debit balance is by far the largest, and if his proxies have been indited as war criminals so should he have been. You can argue for a hands off position while all of this was going on - but he was a party to an attempt at a settlement which obviously (now) he had no interest in joining - using the time to plan and launch his ethnic cleansing. It was impossible for Nato in this situation to allow him to benefit without cost. dd
