Re: coverage
I cover the mainstream IC companies (MPU, PLD, memory): ACTL, AMD, ALSC (a banking client), ALTR, ADI, ATML, CY, IDTI, INTC, LSCC, MCHP, MU, NSM, TXN and XLNX. Obvious candidates for addition would be LSI, Linear and Maxim, but I ran out of bandwidth. My colleague David Wong (a really sharp younger guy with an energy level I would seriously wound for) covers the communication IC companies.
Needham's focus has traditionally been on IC and equipment companies, but we have been expanding coverage over the past year. The systems houses (DELL, CPQ, HWP, IBM, etc) don't appear to be an area that we could bring incremental value to at this time, but that may change. -Tad LaFountain |
