All the more reason for a diplomatic solution (somehow). Based on NATO's current stance ground troops appear inevitable but that would "force Russia into the conflict" as Yeltsin threatened. This, IMHO will only lead to a nuclear war since that is the most cost effective weapon for Russia to deploy; they don't have the $ to deploy armies.

What took the West 50 years to do (break the cold war) Clinton has undone in 20 days.
