They're having a small problem right now in the futures market.

I went out today to look at some new computers. IBM is clearing out its i1411 Thinkpad for $1499 at Best Buy. It sports a 12.1" TFT, 300 MHz Pentium, 32MB RAM, 4.3 GB HD, 56k MODEM, sound/speakers and a 24x CD-ROM. For $400 more, I can get a 1451 with 13.3TFT and 64MB RAM. Have to get rid of the Lotus smartsuite of course.

Then I went out to over the Celerons. HP has a C366 for $799 at Best Buy ($846 at CPU and OD). Specs are almost identical to the EMachine 366i at $599. Very interesting. C400 from EMachine coming fairly soon at the $599 price level with same specs as 366i.

I don't need to replace my Dell Latitude XPi quite yet, but at these prices, but at these prices I can see that my new notebook will be a Thinkpad. Very nice equipement,IMO.
