Compaq to Cut Prices of Computers Sold in Japan, Nikkei Says CPQ should read this excellent post by edamo: Message 8843951 5fer can make an irrational move by cutting CPQ prices so low to move inventory. While this startegy will hurt CPQ's bottom line even more, short term it will affect DELL and other boxmakers. Maybe 5fer is smiling that his incompetency trash the entire market and not just CPQ, a "misery loves company syndrome". there are not enough words to describe 5fer. paul
