Just a thought, but can't companies like DELL be considered to be on borrowed time with regard to margins? The squeeze we see now is long overdue, and there is little or no reason for anyone, consumer or business to pay DELL's premium prices.

The Compaq numbers may be an aberration, or more likely, all this price competition is finally coming home to roost.
