Still think I am a class A idiot :)

Anybody notice how this whole 32bit color thing has divided the gaming /hardware community? Half the people out there swear by it and the other half swear at it. Unfortunately, the ones who swear by it (big sites, programmers) tend to have net's ear...though occasionally there is an objective site which just doesn't see it as being a big deal right now.
------
The most frustrating thing about the 32bpp color thing is how the review sites talk about how it's ok now, but when all the games come out with 32 bit support, you'll be sorry you bought a V3, and you will need to upgrade to Rampage or whatever to get this feature...they make it sound like it is a HUGE deal to upgrade...the customer that cares about 32 bit color is likely a member of the "graphics card of the quarter" club. They will be upgrading anyway. Hell, many of them spent $600 on SLI...why not drop $150 now and $150-250 in 6 months? They are getting better technology and therefore a better gaming experience more frequently for less money.

I forget which site it was that talked about how V3 could do 16 x 12 resolution, but that since games weren't optimized for that resolution, it wasn't a very big deal. The same review went on to rip the V3 for not doing 32bpp color...go figure...
