O'Shaugnessy's strict adherence to a psr <= 1.50 as the primary stock screen does not vary by industry. Therefore, by its very use, this methodology will screen out many high margin companies, most notably, the high techs of the world, and screen in low margin industies such as retailing and large old-line manufacturers.
