I received this from my ISP after complaining to him about the problems beginning about 2 hrs. before the mkt closes. He is also a trader and uses another quote service, and is also experiencing problems with his quotes...

"Well, as you have noticed, we are still having T1 connection problems. It becomes unstable around 12 noon (as you mentioned), then goes up and down for about 45 minutes. Then again at 4 pm sharp, it acts up until about 4:45 every day. We believe the trouble is with the PAC BELL frame relay, and they insist that they're fine, and that it's us.

We're getting our new fast T1 line put in early next week, so if we don't solve it before then, that will take care of it for sure, since all the suspect components will be replaced in that process. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I'm in California, and it seems strange it's happening in other states, with everyone pointing fingers at everyone else!!! I actually
begin getting a slowdown around 11:00 am...but flat out quits at noon...last trading hour, but so does ISLD! Rebooting helps only temporarily. We'll see if the new ISP equipment helps here. I question the memory situation only because this began suddenly for most of us...why not months ago? I've not changed anything and it used to run fine.

Stumped!
