Paul, I was talking to a buddy of mine recently who works in the motherboard industry. We got to discussing Intel and what they could do to help grow PC performance toward the next generation. Motherboard manufacturing is very capital intensive, similar to chip production. There's a real need for Intel to partner with one or two of the players in the industry. We wondered why Intel has elected to stay away from this sort of relationship? They seem to be partnering with quite a few other companies related to PC performance, but have neglected the motherboard makers. It doesn't make sense to me, and I wondered whether you or the thread could shed any light? I would think the future performance of the motherboard would be key to Intel's future. Michael
