RELEASE OF VERSION 3 SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY 4/16/1999
Monday April 12, 2:30 am Eastern Time Company Press Release SOURCE: ProNetLink.com ProNetLink.com Will Launch The Global Trade Internetwork on April 16 NEW YORK, April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- (OTC Bulletin Board: PNLK - news) ProNetLink.com®, pronetlink.com (PNL), announced today that it will launch its new Global Trade Internetwork and Portal on the morning of Friday, April 16th.
ProNetLink has designed its new trade portal to bring many global streams of information and tools together into one location. This will allow the trade professional, or even a trade beginner, to compete more efficiently on the global level. ProNetLink will also provide the conventional tools needed in the trade industry such as business leads, shipping forms, insurance, trade statistics and compliance data, but goes one step further by presenting interactive cybercasts of key trade events live over the Internet.
''We have invested over two years building this business and preparing for the upcoming release of our Global Trade Internetwork,'' said Glenn Zagoren, ProNetLink's Chairman. ''We know that the marketplace has been anticipating the launch as much as we have. Our delivery date was set for the evening of April 14th however, after a long meeting we decided that it would make more sense not to compete with the IRS for attention on the 15th. After two years of development we wanted everyone focused on the launch of ProNetLink and not on their taxes. So, what's one more day?''
The Global Trade Internetwork will represent a completely new, state-of-the-art design for the ProNetLink webtool. One of its major benefits of the new site is that it is a ''multi-dimensional portal'' rather than an industry specific ''vertical portal.'' ProNetLink will allow any type of business, from any country, to get industry specific information.
Registration will be free on the ProNetLink site for all businesses. Companies that take advantage of the free registration will receive a full business listing in the global trade directory, a customized portal, an online product catalog page, free trade leads and full access to the entire site for 60 days. After the trial period, membership costs less than $1USD per day.
During the next 3 days the site will be moved from the development servers to the production servers and the SQL databases will be re-indexed. The re-indexing of the main database, which holds over 2.75 million company records from over 120 countries, requires more than 18 hours of processing time. The developer/ProNetLink team will also be running their pre-launch checklists to make sure that all functions are working properly.
Since the existing site will be off-line during this time, any registered ProNetLink member that needs specific business information can contact ProNetLink at help@pronetlink.com and the information will be provided to them.
Starting Wednesday evening and Thursday, ProNetLink will begin demonstrating the new site to invited members of the press. Media resources and editors that are interested in reviewing the site should contact ProNetLink at 212-688-8838 or email pr@pronetlink.com.
Later this month, ProNetLink will debut its Internet broadcast feature when, on April 21st, a live cybercast of events from the 1999 International Business Expo (IBE) will be presented jointly with World Trade Magazine, the IBE organizer. While the IBE will physically be held at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, ProNetLink members worldwide will benefit from the event by just ''tuning in'' to www.pronetlink.com. Members may also send email questions that they would like answered by the guests on the show to live@pronetlink.com.
