Esteban, You aren't describing a "partnership" in my book. Perhaps it's an informal joint venture you have there??? If one person is trading actively and the other is the supplier of money then clearly this is NOT a trader status situation for both partners. As a matter of fact (IF) it is as I guessed above, the partner who is the active trader is likely in violation of SEC financial advisor laws for not being registered to trade on behalf of other persons.
