COMPAQ DISCUSSES PRELIMINARY FIRST QUARTER RESULTS

COMPAQ COMPUTER CORPORATION will host a conference call at 11:00 a.m. EST, 10:00
a.m. CST, and 8:00 a.m. PST on Monday, April 12, 1999 to discuss the preliminary first quarter
results.
