DblD, but did Barrick do any proper assessment between February when the deal was announced to the conclusion date at the end of March during which time they could have backed away from the deal?

The best way to determine if they have done their own assessment and not just adopted Sutton's numbers is to ask Barrick to give investors a very detailed account of their own analysis without repeating any of Sutton's tonnage and grade figures.

These figures would have to include all of the different sections of the main vein from the narrow 2 foot wide end to the low-grade 20 foot wide end.

The private analysis concluded that at $280 per ounce gold there were less than 1 million ounces of recoverable economic gold in zone 1 down to 2,000 foot depth below which economic recovery was not possible because of the low .3 ounce/ton grade.

What are Barrick's figures?
