You wouldn't joke so much about other people's misery if it was your own family that was being raped and abducted. I hope that you are not raising your children to laugh when your neighbors have misfortune.

Your "laughing" about other people's suffering tells the reader what a wonderful person you are. Give yourself a pat on the back for setting such a good example of humanity and compassion.
