If Emachines PC would be such an inferior product to DELL then you would see a lot returns. There is no evidence of that.

I would like to see these 1% pull down resistors in the DELL machines.
If they use 1% resistors where they are not necessary then they are throwing their money away.
Are you claiming that DELL has no failures? If not then what the "extensive testing" is for?

Where do you get the idea that Emachines comes without software and smaller hard drive? Check the spec again.
