Suggest that Loral (LOR) and/or Globastar (GSTRF) be considered for the gorilla /king watch. Those of you who are old (or new) Qualcomm holders, probably are aware that the Q holds a chuck of G* (as it is called on the Q thread) and Loral owns just under half of G* (48%). The Q supplies the base stations and a big piece of the phones. Loral is not only a potential winner through G* (voice) where satellites are being launched each month through the fall when Globalstar service is scheduled to begin, but is a major satellite service provider in its own right looking toward data services (including video of course) in a major way with multiple satellites in various labels and flavors. The reason I mention this now is both companies have been beaten up badly in the market for many reasons (including politics re campaign contributions, China, etc. which scare some folks). The visionary who created both companies, Bernard L. Schwartz (who is "controversial" with some), is (whatever else he may be) an outstanding manager by all the evidence, regardless of current static. Just IMO. And the last few days, both stocks have moved up a bit. May be start of move, or just a blip. No one knows of course. But thought an alert / early warning such as I gave here on Qualcomm might be helpful to anyone interested. Best to all. Chaz too
