If you add or remove a drive or if you partition a drive then the letters will change.

I don't plan on adding any drives in the near future but partitioning modifications are always a possibility. I guess if and when lettering changes do occurr I then have to go into BE and make source location changes. I need to understand more about the UNC's Sean mentioned.. but later..as you say one idea per post is usually more than sufficient, at least for me.

I plan on asking you (Aopen support)

I think all those years out in the CA sunshine has affected your judgment<gg>

the ABIT is jumperless but still has jumpers..CMOS reset and maybe others

My AX6B+ has jumpers for Clear CMOS and the AGP Ratio. Your newer model may be different.

How is the overclocking done?

In the newest Bios upgrade for the AX6B+ >BIOS Setup >Chipset Features> Jumperless Setup >System Frequency has two FSB choices, 66 and 100MHz. You can have Bios auto detect your CPU Clock ratio by just selecting 450/100 or you can select manual> CPU Clock :100MHz and CPU Clock Ratio: 4.5. Again I don't know if your settings may be different on a different board model.

There are also settings for Video BIOS Cache and Video Ram Cache. I have them both enabled.

How did you install NT on the SCSI drive? Did you disable the IDE drives? I recall the second IDE NT install played with the boot file in your primary NT install. Did you have a similar problem when you installed NT on the SCSI drive?

I wanted to make sure this NT install had only one place to go so I disabled everything else. That was a very good lesson here on the thread. It worked w/o any problems, well almost, thank God. I say almost because I inadvertently also disconnected my cdrom ide 2 slave and couldn't run the nt cd until I realized that. Nice thing about these removables to disable them just turn the key no rumaging around inside the box following ribbon cables.
