The news are very bad for INTC. Not too bad for MSFT. Can't tell about DELL.
90% of PCs will sell under $1500 in '99. That means 90% of CPUs will be sold under (retail) $270. That'll cut Intel's revenues and gross.
Revenues grew 28% from '95 to '96, 20% from '96 to '97, and only 5% from '97 to '98. Guess in '99 there would be an actual decline, although unit shipments will continue to grow.
