Investors flock to Net stocks as a flight to safety. Sounds crazy, but I have to question the conventional wisdom that Net stocks would be most vulnerable during times of market upheaval...

All the investors who've played tech blue chips like CPQ are now shifting some of their money towards Net plays. People who have been following the common advice of "buy into Net stocks when this crazy bubble bursts first" have been waiting on the sidelines in horror, watching as the sector rockets on a daily basis...

I still kick myself for my inexcusable attempt to buy INKT under 70 despite realizing it's a market leader. Eminent Internet stock analyst Henry Blodget said it best when he said you should not go "bargain-hunting" with these stocks....

I'm thinking that if the Fed were to suddenly jack up interest rates, these stocks would suffer significantly. These valuations are projecting so many years into the future that a sharp rise in rates would make a big difference. Assuming the market still has a modicum or rationality, of course...

Just some random thoughts...
