Richard,

Forgive me. I was being ironic. I do not doubt Tim's sincerity. Certainly not his intelligence.

My badly-stated point was that if (big if, I understand) Tim becomes convinced that there IS gold and that IPM's failure was not due to scamming, would certain threaders (in-and-out) consider him to be ipso facto a scam artist? In psychology, this defense mechanism is called "reaction formation". Ya used ta be wit' me, and now yur agin' me, so ya musta been agin' me all along.

You and a lot of others have made excellent cases for what might have happened to IPM other than scam. But you are thereby pointing out the flaws in the denial complexes of some who will, of course, defend those denials to the end. Hell hath no fury like a thumping pundit/defender of "The Truth" whose particular theory starts to wobble.

I'm sure Tim is a hard sell on the presence of commercially extractable gold. However, I think he is more a skeptic than an ostrich. If it IS there, he will embrace it.

Some wouldn't, claiming scam from here to Busang. A parade of moaning, self-satisfied whippers protecting the world from the plague, when what was needed was flea spray.

Sorry for the confusion,

Ed D.
