That already happens, though creativity is a most subject quality to measure for reward.

Without tests of some type, SAT or something else, how would you get feedback on how students are progressing in their non-work, learning environment? If they have the foundation of knowledge in one area in order to proceed onto the next.

Without tests and grades how would those managing places of work have a sense of graduating students' abilities to perform their jobs? It may be important for a marketing graduate to be creative, but I'd like to know my surgeon or structural engineer passed the grade.
