<<You are notorious for taking things out of context, twisting facts, and ignoring facts that work against you. I saw this over and over during the past year when I wasn't here, and simply cringed at your fallacies time and time again.>>>

No Scott, actually we all usually have a pretty good time on here until you show up. But you know Scott, you could have always pointed out these "fallacies" had you not been such a tightwad and ponied up for membership. You see Scottie, there just isn't that much to talk about on the GT board because GT doesn't have that much to talk about.

<<<"Half-Life had a lot of ideas we were doing for Prey, such as power/health stations, scripted characters and events that take place around the player, and a lot more. That game really raised the bar, and I think most 3D shooters will have a tough time jumping that bar until DN4 takes it raises it several more notches again. ; )">>>>

Gee Scott, what is PREY!?! That's a riot. Compare Half-Life, a game that has been out almost a year to a game that isn't even close to completion. Now try reading your own musings and put more thought into what you say next time (just a helpful tip). Here you say that most 3D shooters will have a tough time jumping the bar that Half-Life set until DN4 comes out and raises it several more notches again...read it carefully Scott. The general idea you are projecting is that they can't match Half-Life's standard but they will be able to after DN4 comes out. So once again Scott, here is your chance....what exactly will Duke Nukem 4 have in it that will put it so far above Half-Life and "surprise" us all?

<<<Now then, Bob, this is in line with what I said in this thread a few days ago. H-L *did* raise the bar, but guess what, it still didn't scare us or show us any surprises, and it's still below what we're doing in DNF.>>>

Scott, there was no mention from you of Half-Life raising the bar on anything in your initial post. In fact it was quite the opposite. However, your own words on the Samhell site echo what I was trying to get through to you. What you don't seem to understand Scott is that as far as the general public is concerned you haven't "done" anything...YET and THEY have.

Regardless, of what you do in Duke Nukem 4 or Prey, the fact is Half-Life beat you to it...literally beat your pants off. But you are not alone, Quake's crew takes it on the chin as well as well as every other lame 3D shooter released in the last two years. I am not implying that you won't meet or beat their standards but rather thank goodness someone finally got the message on 3D shooters and that message was delivered by Valve and NOT 3dRealms. Looks like you will be playing catch-up. But look at it this way, I am more than happy to give you all the free publicity you want whenever you want. In fact, I'll even be willing to offer you interview space whenever you want it and whoever ends up interviewing you will ask you better questions than what your favorite football team is.

<<<If you need further clarification on this simple matter, I will not be available. ;>>>

Sure you will Scott, you love the abuse!
