.... much like 1986-89...

I agree with you it will tumble, but further than the 30's. If it follows the time frame you talked about there will be single digits. I often wonder if MU will ever layoff again, Joe P. said never but he is not there, or if the company will just fold one day.

I firmly believe there are very hard times ahead for all the SEMI's, but this time MU is not as prepared to fight through those times. If I am wrong then they will skyrocket to the top. The other way will be a much fast ride to the bottom.

Until now the Koreans were always "this threat" but never in a real position to capitalize on it. MU had the shrinks and the yields coming so fast it was hard to keep up. The Korean's learned. They are shrinking faster than any other companies in the world. The yields are unsurpassed and NEVE has a company seen yield, sustained, in the 90% or greater, from wafer start through testing.

This is were the term fish or cut bait would apply. Their bait bucket is full and MU is still looking for the knife.

You know in the long term I hope I am wrong. I have a lot of friends who could lose their jobs if I am even half right; but feelings aside I see the darker days of MU coming.
