This issue of Chem. & Eng. News covered Calif. facing out MTBE. There are still many technical issues to blend ethanol. Nevertheless, ethanol producers will benefit form this change. The most important information I got from this article is that Calf. is using 25% of the world production of MTBE. This is a very significant impact to MTBE industry. No doubt HIPC will move to much higher prices due to higher prices of ethanol. I believe corn is looking good as well. Good luck. Sincerely, Wade
