I think the decision of how to dispose of MIPS (public sale, private sale, distribution of shares to SGI shareholders, etc) is up to the board of directors and subject to shareholders approval of both MIPS and SGI. I believe by law, the board of directors (***not the executive management team***) has a fiduciary duty to represent the interests of shareholders. So it all depends on what the large shareholders of MIPS and SGI want to do with these shares.
