You've got it backwards. It was the "Serbian Terrorism" which incited the Austro-Hungarian Empire to deliver a harsh ultimatum to Belgrade. Against an overwhelming threat from Austria-Hungary the Serbs refused to capitulate. The subsequent declaration of war and attack on Serbia kicked-off a crescendo of alliances which started WWI. A poignant note is Russia was the first to declare war on Austria-Hungary due to a long-standing defensive pact with Serbia. They have always been Allies. Also, Serbia was our Ally in both WWI and WWII. As for Russia, our attack on Serbia would be like the Soviet Union bombing England. Winston Smith, wake up.
