I agree with you completely stockman, but the problem is most investors grow up with a buy and hold mentality pounded into their brains. Then they watch CNBC and the analysts, read the money magazines, and subscribe to newsletters which pound the buy and hold even more.
It's hard to sell a stock people once loved; others just refuse to open their eyes and admit they screwed up.
Personally, selling CPQ was my best move in the past six months ($$ into AOL), but I also waited WAY TOO LONG. In the mid 40's, I was "comfortable with my profit", and that held me back.
My main problem right now is getting "diversification" pounded out of my head.
On a more specific note, I'm curious why you haven't considered ATHM. Seems poised for incredible growth, and unless the ASDL technology eliminated cable modems (which it probably won't), this one seems to be set for incredible gains.
Wish we'd have seen MCNS move up today, but we'll have our day. I'm not making the same mistake I made with WCAP (sold at 20......OUCH)
Best Regards, and I'll be in AWRE very soon as it looks GRRRREAT. Still unsure about MSGI though.
