Vendit, I'm on a business trip for the week in Atlanta. Did you see or hear about the article in USA Today about, "...new wireless technology patented by inventor Larry Fullerton? A new technology up to 5-10 yrs away from making significant advantages over conventional radio waves." One major application would be "Internet wireless into homes"

This new technology(wirelss was discussed at length on this thread about 2 weeks ago) is going to blow by broadband and isp like it's standing still. This new technology was covered in both the front page and business section of USA. I'm trying to get a link.

This technology uses pulse radio waves. It's called ultra-wide band(UWB). The article mentions not only IBM as an investor in the new technology(they are pkg the IC's for Fullertons company called Time Domain in Huntsville, AL) but also "5 silicon valley" companies have invested money as well(10's of millions). They were not mentioned by name.

Have you heard about this? Know of any companies involved with UWB IC's? Seems to me that this will be something aol may be looking at. If so, the implications for future wireless internet access would be unbelievable.

I'm working on the link. My hotel room line is @#$% and I keep going down.

Phil
