Conversely, what has he done to deserve a lack of trust? A public company is expected to guide analysts and the market to reasonable expectations. When they don't...well, witness Compaq. It is in their best interest to do this right. Does that mean I'm guaranteeing PG's numbers? No more than I'd have guaranteed Compaq's, or upcoming Intel's or whoever's. It is the company that is expected to ensure expectations aren't out of hand. In which case, unless you can point me to instances where PG has materially misled the market in the past, I'm comfortable. WUWT
