"Most" scholars? How about "some" scholars?

First, your scholars presumably insist that Jesus was a devotee of "The Law" (understood as the totality of every rule every promulgated in the history of Judaism). Then, each and every example demonstrating that Jesus did, at least on occasion, depart from "The Law" is dismissed as a "case parody", or as an act of pure expediency (e.g., Jesus ignored the injunction to rest on the Sabbath allegedly because it interfered with his proselytizing activities).

The reference to Clinton was mine, incidentally, and you misunderstood it. I likened your scorn for those who are "soft on Christianity" to the scorn of SI right-wingers for those they perceive to be "soft on Clintonism." Forgot to mention the old charge of being "soft on Communism."
