I have no idea how this will end. For sure,
NATO has lost round 1. The only way to "win"
at this point is with a ground invasion, yet
it seems nobody wants to do it. I doubt that
Milosevic will crumble from a minor bombing
campaign. Look at how the Germans bombed most
of London into rubble during 1941. It only
made the Brits fight harder. The Russians
took a beating at Stalingrad only to turn the
situation into a route of the German 8th army.
The Gulf War has only convinced the "ignoratti"
that we can fight bloodless wars with cruise
missles and win. Of course, everyone seems
to fail to notice that smart weapons failed to
bring Saddam Hussain to his knees. No doubt,
the old boy is plotting right now how to get
some payback on the US.
