Stockman: I think what I am really saying is, don't let joking around about cpq lull you into underestimating Gerstner. He never knew a damn thing about the computer business. But he is one hell of a ruthless marketing person. I am concerned about our "love" of making fun of 5er---when the real ace in the hole for the enterprise, is still in the hands of Gerstner. When it comes to bidding for huge contracts in the future---watch IBM vs Dell. I even question what is really behind this latest big deal between ibm and dell. I am much older than you are, and have seen many sly IBM moves. When they are focused----watch out below. Just trying to help. Sorry to appear to be picking on you today. Just don't want anyone to underestimate the challenges ahead, even as good as dell is!!! (btw, can't wait for our next dinner on College avenue!!)
