I think you did the right thing (CPQ) if you are looking long term.

It takes awhile to mesh the purchase of DEC and for the company to "reinvent" itself what with a new focus and the advent of the sub $1000 computer, not to mention the fact DELL is in the house.

Hopefully, CPQ will spinoff its Alta Vista and create itself an Internet friendly company too. With so much on the plate and so many issues happening at once, I can see where the compnaies focus needs to get stronger and I firmly believe the CEO and his staff is busy at work putting everything together. Seems a natural that the company would miss earnings for this quarter.

CPQ wont blast up overnite, but the stock was severely oversold for longterm investors. Now if it can find some way to better compete with the likes of DELL.
