Mark: "Unbelievable?" The word is "awesome". Having said that, I will warn you in advance of the precipitous CMGI crash which typically occurs after a sharp spike like this. CMGI's volatility cuts both ways; when it declines, it is quick and steep, typically 35% to 45%. No, I am not holding CMGI short; I have a long-term position in CMGI. I'm posting the above "warning" so that you will be prepared for it and not panic and sell when the internet bears start howling about how "the internet bubble is about to burst", how this is "just like the biotechnology mania of the l970's and 1980's", etc. and other assorted nonsense. Remember, if CMGI "corrects" 35% to 45% after a 100% to 200% run-up and repeats this pattern several times over the next year or two, you will be one happy camper if you hold CMGI long through the ups and downs. This has nothing to do with the fundamentals of the stock; it is my observation as to how the stock behaves (FWIW, Network Solutions is similar in this regard). In short, be long and strong!!
