I live in an integrated neighborhood, and I went to integrated schools. I am a quarter Italian, a quarter English, and half Latvian Jewish. My brother is married to an African- American woman, and they have encountered very little hostility. Since anti- semitism is one of the most pronounced prejudices, it is worth noting that the intermarriage rate for Jews is now 50%, and that attitude polls show anti- semitic attitudes among the general population to be at an all time low. Asians intermarry at a high rate too, and the percentage of blacks who intermarry, while still comparatively low, is in the double digits. Anyway, if you think that Clinton's pushing of hate- crimes legislation has much probative value, you must not be a very good attorney... |
