Everything is connected....but not everything needs to be upgraded at once. You don't need a bigger, faster computer to roll around on the web. Even if you wanted the bigger faster computer, its selling just a hair over cost. A few generations of buying on the bleeding edge have taught the computer buyers to hang back with the upgrades and wait for a cheaper price. The software makers are abandoning the desktop for apps that are distributed and run over the web. So where is the bottleneck? In the pipe. Before it was more processor, more memory, faster system bus, video memory, bigger hard drives, etc. Now everyone and their brother is trying to close distance with a faster network.
The great sucking sound out of the hardware sector is coming here and to the other NET stocks. A lot of people will lose money in the hardware stocks because they put their money in there after they were sure that it was SAFE....NOT! It was the last best place to put your money.
