Alphonse Fletcher, Jr. founded Fletcher Asset Management, Inc. in September 1991 after a successful career as a trader with Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. and Kidder Peabody & Co., Inc. Fletcher Asset Management (FAM), a New York City-based firm, has made direct investments in a number of publicly traded companies. The firm specializes in the use of analytical techniques to implement its investment and hedging strategies. FAM has generated audited average investment returns of greater than 300% per year since September 1991 and has not reported a single losing quarter in accomplishing this goal.
Mr. Fletcher serves as a trustee of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the New School for Social Research and has served as chairman of the New York campaign for the United Negro College Fund.
Mr. Fletcher is a graduate of Harvard College where he studied applied mathematics. He is active in Harvard's alumni affairs and fundraising, He is a member of the Committed on University Resources and the New York Major Gifts Steering Committee for Harvard University's $2 billion capital campaign.<<<
