IMHO, the biggest enemies for cable are 1. themselves 2. themselves and 3. themselves.

Personally I don't like the cable guys - total snobbishness and I won't throw them one extra cent if I can avoid it. The captive ISP is one such example. Anyway, I like ADSL better, don't have to share with anybody.
