Jay, I think you're right on RNWK. They will be the standard as far as hearing instant samples of the web. But as far as downloading quality music to be used in your car stereo, It looks like MSFT wants their difficult to pirate format to succeed over mp3. The RIAA will be behind this. Microsoft has already got stooges telling lies about the quality of mp3 which I can attest to being excellent:
''Microsoft is going to show an alternative to MP3, but with security features,'' said Forrester Research Senior Analyst Mark Hardie, who heard a demonstration of the new product. ''The sound is clearer. Where MP3 is kind of mushy, you start to hear the highs better with this.'' This is complete BS-"sounds mushy, bad highs" But who cares, this is Microsoft and they do and say whatever they want. But the rio may very well support MSFT's audio 4. This would be important to know. But I think MSFT encroaching on the music industry is going to make more enemies. Anyway, DIMD may very well keep going up but I got out today. Things are too confusing.
