Isn't one of the problems w/ RUT is that it is the index of losers in a certain sense? If you're a big success, like a GNET, you quickly graduate from the small caps, and it looks like small caps are doing bad. In fact, they are soaring - right out of the index.

I don't know how this index is calculated, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't track stocks that get too big. It seems to me that this guarantees that the RUT stays behind, and thus, all the comments about lack of breadth in small caps is a bit bogus.
