Are we talking about very high efficiencies here, or are we really talking about the debunking of the usurious telecomm frameworks of the past?

And are we talking about truly long term efficiencies, or are these efficiencies only masked by what outrageously capped startups can afford, while they are taking down huge chunks of investors' gamblings with no assurances of sustainable long term earnings?

I know a guy named Bruno who goes by the street name, Piper. Piper might relax his vigs from time to time, but at some point he always gets paid. At that stage we reach a point of inflection which everyone is asking about. Most are willing to gamble that the turning point is too far into the future to worry about.

It's certainly not the Internet itself, or its enabling technologies that make it possible, that I would be concerned about... while those are all wonderful things, they have nothing to do with this discussion. Like someone said, perhaps oversimplistically, it's the perceptions.

And to compare JP Morgan's strides earlier in the century with today's e-trade addictions is pure folly. I'm not comparing the railroads or steel to the Internet as much as I am highlighting the fact that taxi drivers and drooling traders with nervous twitches do not a Morgan or Carnegie make.

Note: If AHhaha come to my aid with this one, I will have been successful in getting him out of seclusion.
