In a post under the "Ask Mike Burke" you mention that you are 100% in cash and are awaiting Mar 12th. At that time you mention leaps in 3com, cyrx, atml and amd as possibilities.

As a novice investor, I am trying to learn. So here is the round of questions.
1. Why wait till Mar 12th ? Is this a hunch, or is there a monetary or economic reason?
2. What leaps (strike price and cost) for the Jan 99 3com?
3. Do you like all of these stocks ? do you have particular favorites among them and if so why ?
