Jay: As a person who's been in the telecom industry for nigh on 15 years I gotta say this. The one thing that truly limited the growth of the internet(if "limited" is an appropriate description for a market sector doubling damn near every other month, heh), is that last mile of copper. That final portion "lovingly" described as the local loop.

This has been the ultimate "cork" in the internet bottle as it relates to throughput, speed, "I want it NOW" type access. xDSL technology is the BEST "bang for the buck" technology the LEC's could hope for when it comes to finally being able to provide broadband capability to the home in as elegant a manner possible without having to do a lot of network "gymnastics" along the way. And since cable(regardless of what you may think of their telecom technological prowess) has finally reached a point where the LEC/CLEC community begins to wake up in cold sweats from the nightmarish possibilities.......well.....xDSL it will be. And when you combine this with the growing business potential broadband to the curb represents.....

Let's just say that over the next year those such as COVD, TUTS, AWRE, LVLT, QWST, WCOM and others SHOULD be a slam-dunk of an investment "play" on that potential. Ohhhh, yeaaah, this is all merely my opinion, of course. HEH!
